We were asked to build a live currency streaming application that updates forex rates automatically every 15 seconds on screen without having to manually refresh.

How to create a successful live currency application

Any successful currency (or stocks and shares) application needs to update automatically and seamlessly without customers having to refresh the page. Any data feed will have to be quick loading without many server requests, or get momentarily cached to avoid on-screen delays or flickering.
